Closed Circuit Television Pipeline Inspection Services
Closed circuit television inspection (CCTV) systems are the link between EA Services Inc. and the most advanced, comprehensive pipeline and drain inspection services available. Because every pipeline need brings its own set of circumstances, pipeline inspection becomes crucial for a successful repair. This system offers solutions for pipe cleaning, locating and removing obstructions and are used in conjunction with robotic cutting and reaming methods.
The CCTV inspection system begins by determining whether to use vertical, portable, lateral, Borescope or truck-mount inspection camera systems, based on environmental and pipeline specifics. The camera inspection device is attached to a robotic pipe crawler and inserted into the pipe.
Once the system is underway, the video inspection camera travels through the pipelines. A live video feed allows our technicians to perform remote pipe inspections and identify pipeline cracks, breaks, sags, or any unexplained flow conditions and locate lost valves and obstructions in pipes comprised of various materials, such as metals, fiberglass, plastic and concrete.
The next step is to create a findings report based on technical assessments of conditions observed while monitoring the pipelines or drains. A CCTV pipeline inspection video is created and provided to clients. Based on the findings report, EA Services Inc. assesses observed problem areas in a detailed summary and affords the client with professional analysis and recommendations of future pipeline care.
CCTV Systems Inspection Equipment
CCTV Inspection Equipment is broken down into two categories: Push Cameras and Remotely Operated Robotic Crawlers.
CCTV-Push Cameras, also known as straight-view push cameras, are attached to a rigid push rod for pipes ranging in diameter from 1" - 12" and distances up to 300 feet. The latest technology allows theste cameras to effectively inspect their environment by using Sonde emitters for locations, flexible pan and tilt, or "goose-necks", for pipeline viewing around corners and adjustable LED lights.
CCTV-Remotely Operated Robotics Crawlers, or remotely operated vehicles (ROV's), are robotic pipe crawlers used in conditions that do not necessitate the use of push cameras. These factors include pipelines with distances longer than 300' and diameters larger than 4". This pipeline inspection camera incorporates technologies such as zero-radius skid turns, variable LED lighting, inclinometers, pan, tilt and zoom camera heads, laser referencing and measurement, Sonde emitters and distance counters.
Our video pipeline inspection cameras are able to navigate around minor objects, roots and debris while making their way throughout the pipe for recording environmental conditions. Our equipment and services meet all certified standards and requirements for pipeline video inspection.
Closed circuit television inspection (CCTV) is a pipeline inspection service found under the category of "Remote Visual Inspection Technology." This category takes on many titles, such as: point-to-point measurement, Sonde locating, laser profiling, or 3D Optical Scanning for 360° and unfolded views, by its many techniques - simple forward-view camera, pan and tilt with continuous rotation, inclination reporting, and by its many technologies - flexible and rigid borescopes, pipe viewers, pipe cameras or pipe line cameras, pole cameras, pull cameras, push cameras, video scopes, video probe-CCTV, sewer TV, pipe TV or remotely operated robotic crawler, IR cameras, infrared cameras, infra red windows and thermal windows.
