Water Jetting

EA Services Inc. offers water jet technology with many of our high pressure cleaning services for industrial pipes and sewer drain lines. High pressure water jetting (or hydro jet cleaning) is an industrial pipe cleaning method effective for removing grease, sludge and other deposits that have built up over time around the inside of pipes and sewer lines.

While other pipe cleaning services remove blockages from the center of pipes, pipe water jetting services clean residue along the inside lining of the pipes.

Water jet cleaning is environmentally safe and can be used on many different types and sizes of pipes and drains. Water jets produce no hazardous waste, lowering waste disposal costs. Water usage is also low, and the water that is used during pipe water jetting can be recycled using a closed-loop system.

Water Jetting and Hydroblasting

EA Services Inc. offers Water Jetting and Hydroblasting Cleaning Services to each industry specific needs.

Pipe Water Jetting / Sewer Water Jetting

Sewer water jetting can remove years of built-up grease, sludge, and other residue and debris inside pipes and sewer drains. Water jetting services are often employed after a video inspection reveals grease or sludge inside underground piping systems.

For water jet cleaning of industrial pipes and sewer/drain lines, water is propelled at various pressures and amounts into the drain/pipe to flush away residue and debris. EA Services Inc. uses rotation speed controlled water jets with high-pressure seals and replaceable jets and the ability to track around a 4” to 6” short radius pipe elbow. EA Services Inc. self-rotating workhorse water jetting is for either 15k or 20k psi.

High-pressure water jetting is a perfect choice for cleaning process drains, totes, closed head drums, water well screens, ducts, evaporator tubes and exhaust stacks. Both liquid and compact waste can be flushed out of the pipes by using high pressure water jetting and suction units that combine vacuum and air movement technology. Pipe water jetting can remove and flush polymers, coke, coatings and latex—anything that is clogging tubes or pipes 2” or larger. When used with centralizers, high pressure water jetting will clean pipes from 3” to 12” in diameter, and can handle straight tubes as tight as 2.25” in diameter.

How Water Jetting Works

How water jetting worksDuring water jet cleaning, a water jet cutter is connected to a high-pressure water pump, and water is ejected through the nozzle. The water stream cuts through targeted debris and residue by spraying it with a high pressure jet. Grit additives or other abrasives are sometimes added to the water to assist in the high pressure cleaning process.

The high-pressure waterjet spray is emitted as an umbrella of pressurized water, spraying in all directions. If needed, the water jetting tools can use viscous fluid with rotation speed control and can operate with two, four, or six jets in balance. Different jet configurations for unplugging or polishing allow for maximum productivity no matter which function is chosen.
